Forest keen to keep hold of defender
Skysports.com understands Reading have made an enquiry for Nottingham Forest defender Wes Morgan.
The Royals are on the lookout for reinforcements at the back after losing Matt Mills to Leicester and they see Morgan as an ideal replacement.
Morgan is in the final year of his contract at Forest and as yet fresh terms have not been agreed.
Forest are believed to have opened talks over a new deal as they look to secure the 27-year-old's long-term future
The commanding centre-half has established himself as a key player at Forest since coming through the ranks at the City Ground and was named in the Championhip PFA Team of the Season last term.
Forest would be reluctant to lose Morgan to a Championship rival and they are expected to step up their efforts to tie down the centre-back to a new deal.
