Vale boss has resources to land new faces after Richards exit

Port Vale boss Micky Adams is in the transfer market for a new striker. Having offloaded Justin Richards to Burton Albion last week, Adams admits that deal has paved the way for him to bring in a fresh face up front. "It was something both parties agreed to and it allows me to bring in another new frontman or another player," Adams told the club's official website. "It is a decision I have made as a manager and with the greatest respect, Marc (Richards) and Justin are very similar players. "I think there are still a couple of places to be settled, but I have been saying that all season - I think we are a couple of bodies short. "Justin has gone and it allows us from a financial point of view to bring in another player and I will be trying to do so."
