Norwich players pick up injuries in Germany

Norwich City's pre-season tour to Germany has been slightly marred after it emerged a trio of players had picked up knocks. Adam Drury, James Vaughan and Marc Tierney are all now expected to miss all three friendlies against Football League opposition, starting with Crystal Palace on Tuesday. "Adam has just got a slight knock on his calf at the minute. It's nothing serious," manager Paul lambert explained to the Pink'un. "The other two boys got knocks as well - they're only slight - so we are not taking any chances with them.

Fitness

"They've done most of the running and fitness work. It's not important if they miss the odd game in pre-season as long as they are ready for the first game in the league." Meanwhile, Anthony Pilkington, who was signed from Huddersfield, looks to be ready for the new season after he broke his ankle towards the end of the last campaign. Lambert added: "He is doing great at the minute. He has done little bits with us here and there but he is not fully with us at the minute. "He's not a million miles away from it, this is for sure, but we'll just continue to monitor him and see how he is himself."
