New deal at Loftus Road for Nigeria international

Defender Dan Shittu has committed his future to QPR by penning a new one-year deal with the Premier League newcomers. The 30-year-old Nigeria international has made almost 200 appearances for Rangers in three stints at Loftus Road. Centre-back Shittu rejoined the Hoops in February this year on a short-term deal and helped them seal promotion to the top-flight. Shittu told QPR's official website: "I am pleased to have my future sorted out and am delighted that I will be spending the next year with QPR in the Premier League. "I had other options available but I love this club and to have been involved in our promotion from the Championship last season is something I will never forget. "Now I want to play my part in helping QPR stay in the Premier League." Shittu has 28 caps for Nigeria and has played for both Watford and Bolton in the Premier League.
