Lyon deny making Britos bid

Lyon have denied lodging a big-money bid for Bologna's highly-rated defender Miguel Britos.

French outfit rubbish Bologna's claim that an offer is on the table

Lyon have denied lodging a big-money bid for Bologna's highly-rated defender Miguel Britos. The Uruguayan is attracting plenty of interest this summer, and Lyon were believed to be among those monitoring his situation. Bologna are willing to do business if the price is right and have placed a €10 million price tag on Britos' head. The Italian outfit claim Lyon have agreed to meet that valuation, with an offer already on the table. Bologna vice-president Maurizio Setti told Radio CRC: "Lyon has put in a bid of €10 million euros for Miguel Britos." Lyon, though, insist no such offer has been made and claim they have no plans to spend big on the 25-year-old. It would appear that Napoli are now the favourites to land the South American, although Primera Liga outfit Valencia could yet make a late move to scupper any deal with the Italians.
