Aberdeen new boy David Gonzalez admits he turned down English options in order to join the SPL club on loan.
Manchester City's Colombian keeper has sealed a six-month loan move to Pittodrie in order to showcase his skills.
Gonzalez is excited about the prospect of playing in Scotland's top flight and says it was an easy choice to reject English options.
The 28-year-old had a loan stint with Leeds last term where he failed to feature and he is finally looking forward to playing some first-team football.

"I enjoyed it at City, but it's time for me to play and if it is not there it will be somewhere else and I'm happy to do it here," explained Gonzalez.
"It's impossible not to enjoy training with so many amazing players and the facilities are nice, but you get frustrated when you see your friends playing and you're not.
"My agent rang me to say there had been an approach to Manchester City from Aberdeen and they were going to come back with an official request within 24 hours.
"It was really exciting even thought I have other options with clubs in the lower division in England.
"I spoke to my wife and we had to make a decision whether to stay in England or come here and play in the top flight. In the end it was an easy decision to come here and show myself in the shop window."
