Full-back set to work with Allen again at Meadow Lane

Skysports.com understands Swindon Town full-back Alan Sheehan has agreed a two-year contract to join Notts County. Sheehan had been expected to leave the Robins following the club's relegation and he looks set to stay in League One next term. He was due to undergo a trial at Preston North End at the end of the campaign, according to Swindon's former caretaker manager Paul Bodin. However, the former Leeds United defender is now poised to link up with Martin Allen's Magpies at Meadow Lane. The 24-year-old briefly played under Allen at Leicester City and he is due to become the Magpies manager's fourth summer recruit. Allen has already agreed deals for Ishmel Demontagnac, Julian Kelly and Jude Stirling, and has also made a two-year contract offer to ex-Nottingham Forest striker Marlon Harewood.
