Blackburn defender Michel Salgado wants three points against West Ham on Saturday to help secure Premier League safety.
Victory over Bolton last weekend moved Steve Kean's side onto 38 points, three clear of the relegation zone, with three games remaining in the season.
A win at bottom club West Ham would further ease the fears of the drop which have been surrounding the one-time Premier League champions.
And former Real Madrid man Salgado is eager for Blackburn to be looking onwards and upwards as quickly as possible.
"I think we are very close, we want to win the next game and get to 41 points and be safe," the 35-year-old told
Radio Rovers.

"Then we will be able to enjoy the last two games of the season and then we can build for the future."
There were concerns that Salgado might miss the trip to Upton Park after being stretchered off against Bolton with a knee injury.
But the former Spain international hopes to be back in training by Thursday and to be available for selection in East London.
"It was a hard kick and at first I couldn't feel my leg, I tried to walk but it was impossible," he said.
"But after that everything is okay. So hopefully I'll be ready to train maybe Thursday to be ready to face West Ham in an important game."
