Fit-again defender Peter Ramage has made it clear he wants to sign a new deal at QPR.

Out-of-contract full-back aims to impress boss Warnock

Fit-again defender Peter Ramage has made it clear he wants to sign a new deal at QPR. The 27-year-old full-back, who is out of contract in the summer, has just returned from a seven-month lay-off due to a cruciate ligament injury. In his absence, QPR established themselves as Championship pacesetters this season and are on the brink of securing promotion to the Premier League. And the former Newcastle man, who joined the Hoops are a three-year contract in 2008, is eager to feature during their last four games so that he has a chance to impress manager Neil Warnock. "I want to stay here for the foreseeable future and the gaffer knows that," Ramage said.

No talks yet

"I haven't sat down and talked to him but he knows I want to stay. "The gaffer has said he wants to see if I can still do what I do, and hopefully I'll do enough to impress him and earn a new deal. "This is the place to be at the moment so I've got no intention of leaving unless I'm told otherwise."
