Defender escapes serious injury
Watford have been handed a boost with the news that defender Lee Hodson has not broken his ankle.
It was feared Hodson had suffered a broken ankle after a collision with Sheffield United striker Darius Henderson.
Watford boss Malky Mackay believes Hodson has had a lucky escape and is hopeful he will be back in action soon.
"We are delighted with Lee's progress. He was in an air boot over the weekend and he's out of that already," Mackay said.
"His ankle isn't broken but is heavily bruised and he's limping around at the training ground.
"I'm just grateful that there is no long-term damage.
"When a player is being led off on a stretcher with oxygen and then taken to hospital you do fear the worst so we are relieved."
