Udinese have confirmed that Premier League giants Chelsea are interested in signing Alexis Sanchez.

Blues have held initial talks over Chilean star

Udinese have confirmed that Premier League giants Chelsea are interested in signing Alexis Sanchez. The 22-year-old Chile international striker is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Italy's top flight. Champions Inter Milan recently cooled their interest in Sanchez, but it seems that Chelsea remain in the hunt for his signature. Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo has confirmed that he held talks with Chelsea and that he quoted the Stamford Bridge outfit €30m (£25.1m) for Sanchez, although he could want more. However, the club have ruled out losing Sanchez during the transfer window while stating that only Antonio Floro Flores will leave in January.

Value

"What is Sanchez's value?" he told Sky Italia. "With Chelsea we talked about €30million. I want this figure, if not more. "There was also interest from Inter Milan, which we decided to stop. "It's useless to talk about something that we don't want to do because we cannot remove anyone from the team when we are midway through a season. "No-one will move now, not even (Gokhan) Inler. Just Floro Flores will leave. "He wants to play and has no place here. Juventus and Genoa? He'll decide. What's important is that we don't loan him out."
