Sam Allardyce expects Morten Gamst Pedersen to soon be fit after he missed the defeat at Man Utd.

Allardyce expecting midfielder to be fully fit soon

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce expects Morten Gamst Pedersen to be fighting fit for the challenges to come after the Norwegian missed the drubbing at Manchester United. The 29-year-old was not risked in the 7-1 thrashing at Old Trafford after a late fitness test revealed he was not 100 per cent. The midfielder sustained a thigh injury in the recent 2-0 win over Aston Villa - in which he also netted a brace - but Allardyce expects him to be fully fit soon. The Blackburn boss told the club's official website: "Morten isn't too bad. The risk was how many games that are coming up fast now. "We could have started him against Manchester United but we decided that he would be 100 per cent next week, on Friday he was at about 90 per cent."
