Schieber will return after loan at Nurnberg

Stuttgart are being forced to cope without experienced defender Khalid Boulahrouz due to a calf injury. The former Chelsea man had only just returned from a muscular problem and featured as a substitute in the recent Bundesliga match at Kaiserslautern. But he sustained a new injury after that outing and missed Sunday's defeat at Cologne. Stuttgart general manager Fredi Bobic told Kicker last week: "Khalid Boulahrouz has sustained a new injury.

Option

"After the final diagnosis, we think we will be without him for another three weeks." Elsewhere, Bobic has declared that Stuttgart have a clear intention to bring Germany Under 21 international Julian Schieber back to Mercedes-Benz-Arena after the end of the striker's loan spell at Nurnberg. Bobic told Stuttgarter Nachrichten: "We will be delighted to see Julian return to our club at the end of the season. We are looking forward to having him back. "He is a player we did not really want to give away. Therefore we agreed a loan without a buy option." Nurnberg general manager Martin Bader said: "Julian Schieber is on loan at our club until June 2011. His return to Stuttgart at the end of the season means that we have nine months to find a proper replacement."
