Danish shot-stopper hoping to secure January switch

Anders Lindegaard is hoping to secure a move to a top club once the transfer window reopens. The Denmark international is reported to have attracted interest from Manchester United and Arsenal and has admitted that he would welcome the opportunity to test himself in England. He does still have two years left on his contract at current employers Aalesund, but he hopes a compromise can be reached. Lindegaard admits he is uncertain as to what the short-term future will hold, as there is no guarantee he will be offloaded, but he feels the time is right for a new challenge. "I don't know if I have played my last match for Aalesund," he told Sporten.dk. "My plan is to move on now. You have got to be a very good goalkeeper to get sold these days."
