Midfielder to stay at Ipswich until end of January

Ipswich have reached an agreement with Tottenham to keep Jake Livermore until the end of January. The midfielder moved to Portman Road on loan in September but there was initially some confusion about the length of the agreement. The Championship club announced that the deal ran until the New Year, while Spurs stated it was just until 13th November. Tottenham have now issued a short statement on their official website to confirm that Livermore's loan has been extended until 29th January. Livermore has made nine appearances for Roy Keane's side since his arrival and was again in the starting line-up on Saturday as they lost 3-1 at home to Barnsley. The 20-year-old had previously made it clear that he would like to remain with Ipswich beyond January.
