The former AIK defender has played in just three league games this season although the Bhoys have won all three without conceding.

Hooiveld insists he is fit and available for Lennon and that with him in the team Celtic will be a tough nut to crack.

The 27-year-old has no plans to relinquish his position in the team and is determined to help the club win silverware.

"Last Saturday I played in the second half (of the 9-0 win over Aberdeen)," he told RTV Drenthe.

"Today, I have heard I will play in the defence on Wednesday.

"It's very good news and I don't intend to relinquish that position.

"The assistant coach (Johan Mjallby) spoke to me after the last training session.

"He asked me if I was ready and if I felt good. I told him: 'If you give me games I will give you the title'."
