Italian outfit interested in ex-Liverpool kid

Former Liverpool and Leicester midfielder Astrit Ajdarevic has been strongly linked with Italian outfit Cesena. The newly-promoted Serie A side have sent their head scout to Sweden and they have recommended the 20-year-old after seeing him play several matches for Orebro. And although Cesena are thought to have made an approach for the Under-19 international, Orebro are giving little away. "Whether we have been contacted by Cesena or not is something I would never comment on," their head of relations, Magnus Skoldmark, told Fotbolldirekt.

Attractive

"On the other hand, it is no news that Italian clubs have been in Sweden looking at our players and that Cesena is one of those clubs. "This confirms only what we already know - that we are attractive." Cesena are believed to have first been drawn to Orebro to run the rule over defender Michael Almeback but turned their attention to Ajdarevic. The Kosovo-born midfielder only joined Orebro this summer and scored three goals in 38 minutes in his first two games, although he is yet to become a regular starter.
Contract clause
There have been suggestions Ajdarevic has a clause in his contract that gives him the right to leave this autumn but Magnus Skoldmark refused to comment on that, and on how he rates the club's chances of keeping the former Liverpool Academy graduate. The young Swede failed to make a first-team appearance for the Premier League giants before joining Leicester after a successful loan stint, making five substitute appearances as the Foxes were promoted from League One in 2009. However, he did not make a single appearance for Leicester last term and finished the season with one appearance on loan at League Two Hereford.
