Germany boss looking to new generation of players

Germany head coach Joachim Low has hinted Borussia Dortmund youngster Mario Gotze could win a call-up in the near future. The 18-year-old Germany Under-21 took part in last season's Fifa Under-17 World Cup in Germany and has started the season in fine form. He has featured in all three of Jurgen Klopp's Bundesliga matches so far and Low is well aware of the youngster's talents. Low does not have any minimum number of appearances as a pre-requisite for call-ups and says Gotze is in line for a senior international call-up.

Introduction

"I definitely want to introduce young players to the (Germany) squad. I am impressed by Mario Gotze," he told Bild am Sonntag weekly. "In the medium term I expect the player to have a breakthrough season. Mario Gotze is an extremely talented player. "I do not find any use in the reasoning that a player needs to have at least 50 matches in the top-flight until he is getting on any radar for the A-international squad. This does not apply to me."
