James Milner believes a strong England presence can boost Man City's Premier League title ambitions.

Milner feels club have blend of homegrown and foreign talent

James Milner believes the strong England presence at Manchester City can boost the club's Premier League title ambitions. City provided a core of players for England's opening Euro 2012 qualifiers with Joe Hart, Gareth Barry and James Milner starting the wins over Bulgaria and Switzerland. Adam Johnson came off the bench to score in both games, while the presence of Joleon Lescott and Shaun Wright-Phillips ensured six City players were on the pitch at the end of Tuesday's 3-1 win in Switzerland. Barry has already spoken of his belief that having so many players in the England squad can only benefit City in the future.

Very fortunate

And it is a view shared by Milner, who is hoping the blend of homegrown and foreign talent can inspire City to a successful season. Milner said: "It is good to have that core of English players, but we need the mix as well. "We are very fortunate to have a lot of talented foreign players at the club as well. "The mix is there. Most teams who win the title have an English core as well so it can only be good for us as a club."
