Skysports.com understands Ipswich have landed Wigan striker Jason Scotland.
Town boss Roy Keane revealed earlier on Monday he was closing to signing a mystery player and it is thought the man in question is Scotland.
Keane has been chasing the signing of the forward for the last few weeks as he looks to add to his options at Portman Road.
A number of other Championship sides were interested, but Keane has managed to lure the Trinidad & Tobago international to Ipswich.
Scotland is thought to have agreed a two-year deal with the option of a further 12 months after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.
The 31-year-old will help fill the void left by the recent departures of Jon Walters and Pablo Counago.
