Egyptian star joined Sunderland for manager

Ahmed Elmohamady insists Sunderland manager Steve Bruce was one of the main factors in his Stadium of Light switch. The Egyptian star has moved to Wearside on a season-long loan deal and made his league debut against Birmingham City. Elmohamady had been on Sunderland's radar for some time and the 22-year thinks highly of the club's manager. The loanee from ENPPI thinks Bruce's man-management is second to none and he is eager to repay Bruce's faith in him. "Steve Bruce is one of the main reasons I came here," Elmohamady told the club's official website.

Excellent manager

"He is an excellent manager who takes care of the players and always tries to do good things with them. "I want to show him my efforts on the field and repay him too." Although Sunderland's Premier League opener ultimately proved a disappointing result, after being pegged back to two apiece, Elmohamady relished the Stadium of Light atmosphere. "The fans were great. I have never played in such an atmosphere before," he continued. "I want to give my best to make all the fans even happier. "I have been made to feel very appreciated. People have been taking care of me and I want to repay them on the field."
