Darryl Duffy is on the lookout for a new club after being told by Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope that he is no longer part of his plans for this season.
The former Hull City and Swansea striker struggled to hold down a regular starting berth last season and joined League One rivals Carlisle United on loan at one stage, making eight appearances during a two-month stay with the Cumbrians.
He was recalled by the Pirates in April and featured in most of their games towards the end of the season, but he has now been told that his future lies away from the Memorial Stadium.
"I've been told that I can leave Bristol Rovers if a club comes in for me and I'm desperate to leave before the transfer window shuts if possible," Duffy told
skysports.com.
"It's time to move on now because I'm not going to get much game time if I stay here.
"Mark Wright was made available for transfer during the summer and he has since moved on loan to Shrewsbury and I'm in the same situation now.

"Previously, it was a case of them wanting a certain fee for me, but he (Trollope) told me at the end of last season that I am free to go if I find a new club and he hasn't said a lot to me since really.
"I didn't start any of the pre-season games as well, so I think my time here is up."
The Scottish forward insists that he is keen to pursue any type of offer that comes his way, including a long-term loan move.
"Any kind of loan or permanent transfer would be an option for me because I'm in the last year of my contract and I simply can't afford another season where I'm used sparingly from the bench," he said.
"I need to be putting myself in the shop window by playing regularly, so a loan move would be just as appealing as a permanent deal."
