Blackpool boss also impressed by fellow trialist Martin

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is happy to give Francis Jeffers more time to prove he deserves a contract at Bloomfield Road. Jeffers is training with the Seasiders after being released by Sheffield Wednesday and featured in Tuesday's friendly against Accrington Stanley. Holloway is happy to give the England cap a chance to shine and will not rush into a judgement on the striker's future. "He's only been with us for two days," Holloway told Sky Sports News. "Obviously he's been quality in the past, but things didn't work out for him last year. We've given him a chance to show me what he can do."

Martin quality

French midfielder Malaury Martin is also on trial with the Premier League new boys and Holloway was pleased with his performance against Accrington. He added: "It's very difficult. Obviously my French isn't very good as I didn't really do very well at French in school. "His English is much better than my French and he's having to learn what I'm saying and I'm not sure if he's getting much of it. "He played in a little role and was so disciplined, but I didn't want him to be so disciplined. He moved forward a little bit and showed all sorts of the quality that I know he's got."
