Jemal Johnson has been given permission to look into the opportunity of joining DC United from MK Dons. The midfielder, who joined the club in 2007, was sent out on loan to Stockport in January 2010 after failing to nail down a regular spot in the side. Johnson returned to pre-season training with the Dons but is now expected to travel to Washington this week for a trial period with a view to transferring his registration to the MLS side. Meanwhile, Dons manager Karl Robinson has assured striker Jabo Ibehre he figures in his plans for the forthcoming season.

Impressed

Ibehre, who joined last summer, spent much of last season out on loan at Southend and Stockport as he struggled to make in impact at stadium:mk. But he has returned to pre-season training with a clean slate and Robinson has been impressed. "I spoke to Jabo last week and have told him he is definitely in my plans," Robinson told the club's official website. "He was happy with what I had to say to him."
