Palace boss in dark over Speroni's Celtic link

Crystal Palace manager George Burley insists he knows nothing of any reported interest from Celtic in goalkeeper Julian Speroni. The Argentine shot-stopper has been linked with a move to Parkhead following Artur Boruc's switch to Fiorentina last week. Speroni was one of Palace's stand out players last season and was a virtual ever-present for the club, missing just one Championship match. The 31-year-old has now been linked with a Parkhead switch, but Burley, who is firmly against losing his prized asset, insists he remains the club's No.1. "Unfortunately in football you get speculation, especially if you've got good players and Julian is a top-class keeper," Burley told the South London press. "But I don't know anything about Celtic. "Julian is first-choice and we've got Lewis Price as our number two. Julian is a model pro and showed on Saturday [against Chelsea] what a fine keeper he is."
