Inter Milan skipper Javier Zanetti says he is not yet ready to hang up his boots at the ripe old age of 37.
The veteran defender has outlined his intention of playing on for Nerazzurri, the club he joined in 1996.
Zanetti, who has never played for another European club, says there is still so much more he wants to achieve before he quits the game.
He is two titles away from his target of helping Inter reach 20 championship successes and remains determined to see his goal through.
"I haven't yet conquered the second star," Zanetti told
Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We have 18 Scudetti, and two are missing for this," he added. "I have hunger. A lot of hunger. I don't want to quit until I've got that.
"The same goes for the rest of the group. We have a lot to play for this season."
All change
Asked his views on Jose Mourinho's exit and Rafa Benitez' appointment as coach, he said: "Mourinho made us strong, very strong. Now we know what we are capable of.
"Mourinho also leaves us with a culture of hard work. We know without strain you won't achieve anything and in that sense Inter are now a war machine.
"Rafa Benitez can bring new boosts of experience and enthusiasm. He is another coach capable of winning, of leading a big club full of champions and who has charisma.
"I'm sure Benitez will be helped in his work by dealing with a team that never wants a single defeat, starting from the Italian Super Cup in August."
He added: "I want the three trophies we'll challenge for in 2010 - the Italian Super Cup, European Super Cup and Club World Cup - then we can focus on the Scudetto and Champions League."
