Argentina have been handed a boost after Lionel Messi returned to training ahead of Saturday's meeting with Germany.
Messi sat out of training on Thursday due to a mild cold, sparking fears that he could miss the forthcoming World Cup quarter-final clash.
But a spokesman for Argentina has confirmed Messi "participated in a normal manner in all the scheduled exercises".
Messi has impressed in South Africa to date but has yet to find the back of the net despite his country scoring 10 goals.
Argentina tackle Germany in Cape Town on Saturday with the winner to play either Paraguay or Spain in the semi-finals.
