Striker tied to League Two champions until 2012

Notts County striker Lee Hughes has agreed a 12-month contract extension to stay at Meadow Lane until 2012. Hughes joined the Magpies last summer on a two-year contract from Oldham Athletic and played a key role in the club's League Two title success. He scored 33 goals in all competitions and also claimed the club's Golden Boot, Manager's Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year awards. The experienced front man has now been rewarded with a fresh deal and will be aiming to make a similar impact for the Magpies during the coming season.
