Danny Andrew has joined Cheltenham permanently after not being offered a new contract by Peterborough.

Yates happy to bring back defender after last season's loan

Danny Andrew has joined Cheltenham Town on a permanent basis after not being offered a new contract by Peterborough United. The left-back made 10 appearances during a loan spell at Cheltenham last season, having also played under Robins boss Mark Yates at Kidderminster. He has subsequently been allowed to leave Peterborough and has secured a two-year contract with League Two side Cheltenham. Yates told Town's official website: "I've known Danny for a while so I'm delighted to get him on board. He's a good defender, he's young and he's hungry. "He still has a lot to work on, but he's got potential, a sweet left foot and a good leap on him, so he will be a good player." Andrew becomes the club's second new face in as many days following the arrival of goalkeeper Daniel Lloyd-Weston from Port Vale.
