Barcelona central defender Gerard Pique has branded his side 'the best team in Spain' following their Primera Liga title win.
Pep Guardiola's men defended the trophy they won 12 months ago on Sunday with a convincing 4-0 victory over Real Valladolid, while title rivals Real Madrid were held by Malaga.
Spanish international Pique was delighted his team were able to retain their crown, and admits the win has given him the taste for silverware.
"Without a doubt we have demonstrated that Barca is the best team in Spain," said Pique.
"This Liga was incredible and (the title) is the biggest merit for the team.
"I am happy but I also want more titles. The team must now rest so they can follow up this success next season.
"Our challenge for our next campaign will be to win more titles."
Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage by Inter Milan last month, but Pique is determined his side can reach the Wembley final next year.
"For the fans we will fight to the maximum to be at Wembley next year," he added.
Pique returned to Camp Nou from Manchester United in 2008, and says his success with Barcelona reminds him the move was the right choice.
He added: "Each time I am more convinced that my return for Barca from United was a sensational decision."
