Defender to miss rest of the campagin through injury

Coventry have been rocked by the news that James McPake has been ruled out for the rest of the season. Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman revealed the influential defender will miss the remainder of the Championship campaign through injury and becomes the latest casualty at the Ricoh Arena. The centre-back was absent in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Sheffield United having being substituted late on in the 3-0 reverse at Reading on Easter Monday. McPake was left with both groin and knee complaints after being on the receiving end of a fierce tackle in the Madejski Stadium loss and Coleman hopes the 25-year-old Scotsman can avoid surgery. "I don't think he needs an operation, I hope not, but, like Jon Stead and Gary Deegan, we won't be seeing him for the rest of the season," said the Welshman.
