Aston Villa full-back Stephen Warnock has hailed defensive partner James Collins - stating he is as brave as a lion.
The former Blackburn defender admits he did not know a lot about Collins' game prior to joining Villa, although he has been quickly brought up to speed.
Warnock has been massively impressed by the Wales international's aggression and desire to win at everything - including emerging victorious in training.
Collins has forged a near impregnable partnership with ex-Manchester City defender Richard Dunne and Warnock is of the firm belief that the duo are two of the best in the Premier League.
"James has been great," said Warnock. "When I came into the club, I didn't know his style of play, but from day one he has impressed massively.
"He never shuts up on the field. He is horrible to play against. Even in training he is aggressive and wants to win and you can see that in every game he plays.
"He is as brave as lion, throws himself into everything, and has been like that since day one at the club. He has played a big part for us.
"To be fair, James and Richard (Dunne) are two of the best defenders in the league on form and been fantastic all season."
