Gary MacKenzie has signed a pre-contract agreement with MK Dons, but hopes to sign off at Dundee in style.
The 24-year-old defender is set to join Paul Ince's side as a free agent over the summer after four years of service at Dens Park.
He feels the time is right for a fresh challenge, with his entire to career to date spent in Scotland.
The former Rangers ace is looking forward to testing himself in England next term, but admits there is still plenty to keep him occupied at Dundee before he heads for the exits.
The Scottish First Division outfit are pushing hard for promotion back into the SPL, while they have also progressed through to the last eight of the Scottish Cup.
"I'd love to end my time here a champion in the league, that's the main priority, but if we can do it in the cup as well that would be fantastic," said MacKenzie.
"I've been here for four years now and I just feel it's time for a change in scenery."
