Pirates forward agrees three-month switch to Brunton Park

Bristol Rovers striker Darryl Duffy has completed a loan move to League One rivals Carlisle on a three-month deal. The former Swansea striker will spend the majority of the remaining season at Brunton Park after failing to break into the Pirates' side this term. The Scot will hope the move to Greg Abbott's side will help him remind the division of his goalscoring ability, having previously impressed at the Memorial Stadium. Abbott is pleased to have the 25-year-old in his ranks at least temporarily and he believes the former Falkirk forward can rediscover his touch. "We want him to come here and play the way we know he can," Abbott told the club's official website. "He has a good scoring record at this level and he is a quick and alert forward. We think he'll improve what we already have and help us as we go towards a run of tough games. He added: "He's another that we are looking forward to working with."
