Randall to spend rest of season with League One club

Milton Keynes Dons have snapped up Arsenal midfielder Mark Randall on loan until the end of the season. Randall has made two substitute appearances in the Carling Cup for Arsenal this season and was considered as a possible loan signing by Derby County back in the summer. He has previously enjoyed a loan spell at Burnley in 2008 and MK Dons are delighted to have added the 20-year-old to their squad. Assistant manager Karl Robinson told the club's official website: "Mark is a fantastic talent and is rated extremely highly by Arsene Wenger, so we're very fortunate to have him available to us until the end of the season.

Huge statement

"It's testament to the way MK Dons are perceived that massive clubs like Arsenal are prepared to trust us with the development of some of their best young talent. "We're a club making great progress and signing a young player of Mark's quality is a huge statement of our ambition. He's the kind of player we hope to have running through the club in the coming years. "He's got fantastic technical ability, Champions League experience, and is competing with some of the best players in the world at Arsenal, so I'm sure he can add a lot of quality to our squad." Randall has made a total of 13 first-team appearances for the Gunners and has twice featured as a substitute in the Premier League.
