Goalkeeper could be tempted to move on

Thomas Sorensen has admitted he could be tempted to move away from Stoke during the January transfer window. The Denmark international claims he recently rejected an approach from one of Europe's leading clubs to remain at the Britannia Stadium. The former Sunderland and Aston Villa shot-stopper is happy with the Potters but still harbours ambitions of competing in either the Europa League or UEFA Champions League. And the 33-year-old, who only signed a new deal in November, may be tempted to head to pastures new if an approach which he finds appealing is forthcoming in the coming weeks.

Ambition

"It wasn't long ago and it was an unofficial enquiry." Sorensen told spn.dk. "It was from one of the biggest clubs (in Europe), but it was not what I am looking for at the moment. "My ambition is to play at the highest possible level. That is the World Cup with the national team and European competitions with the club. "I am happy where I am, but if an offer does come, it will be hard to refuse."
