Le Guen allows midfielder to stay for Old Firm derby

Celtic midfielder Landry N'Guemo has been cleared to play in next month's Old Firm clash by former Rangers boss Paul Le Guen. It was feared N'Guemo might be forced to miss the Parkhead showdown on 3rd January if Cameroon decided to invoke Fifa's 14-day ruling for his release before the African Cup of Nations. Cameroon coach Le Guen plans to name N'Guemo in his squad for January's tournament, but he will allow the midfielder to stay for the clash with Rangers before linking up with the national team. "Landry will be free and available to play for Celtic against Rangers," said Le Guen. "I realise the importance of this match and I have several other players with important games for their clubs over the New Year. "For this reason all players will report to our training camp on 4th January, so Landry can play for Celtic and then meet up with us the next day."
