Lee Hills has ended his loan spell at Oldham early after being sent off against Walsall.

Red card brings an end to Oldham loan

Crystal Palace defender Lee Hills has had his loan spell at Oldham brought to a premature end. The 19-year-old left-back was sent-off in the Latics' 3-0 defeat to Walsall on Tuesday night and now faces a three-match suspension. As Hills only has two games remaining on his month-long deal, Oldham boss Dave Penney has decided to send the youngster back to Selhurst Park early. "Lee only had another two games to go on his loan and in fairness to Dave he needs to get another left-back in before Thursday's loan deadline," Palace assistant boss Mick Jones told the South London Press. "There is no point him keeping Lee there for a second month if he's going to miss three matches." Hills made four substitute appearances for the Eagles this season before temporarily leaving for Oldham.
