Midfielder signs for undisclosed fee

Plymouth have completed the signing of striker Alan Gow from Rangers for an undisclosed fee. Gow, 26, has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with Argyle after agreeing personal terms with the club. The Glasgow-born midfielder spent the end of last season on-loan at Norwich after a brief stint at Blackpool. He will be unavailable for Saturday's Championship tie against QPR but looks set to start against Cardiff on Tuesday. "He's the same type of player as Paul Gallagher and I'm sure he will be a quality player for us," Pilgrims boss Paul Sturrock told the club's official website. "He has tasted the Championship with Blackpool and Norwich last season and he did very well for them. "Offensively, I'm sure he will be an excellent addition for us."
