Forward searching for contract security

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has admitted that Dele Adebola will be leaving Ashton Gate in the summer. The striker is out of contract this summer and is seeking a two-year deal in the twilight of his career, something the Robins are not prepared to give him. "We are going to be looking for a new striker as it seems Dele is moving on," Johnson told the Daily Star "He's looking for two years somewhere and he's nearly 34." Johnson also has his eyes on other transfer targets as they look to make the play-offs next season, with home form letting them down in their pursuit this term. "We need to find a striker or two, along with a few other positions," added Johnson. "I've got names in mind and I've got a meeting with the chairman to discuss it." Adebola was benched for Saturday's draw with Sheffield Wednesday, and Owls boss Brian Laws has been credited with an interest in the former Birmingham City front man. "Dele has been linked to us and Gary Johnson asked me about it, but there's nothing to talk about," said Laws. "It's still very early stages and not a lot of business is being done at the moment."
