Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has labelled their match against Malaga “dangerous” as they aim to continue their title charge at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night.

Madrid will go into the game without an injured Karim Benzema (knee) while Gareth Bale is struggling with muscle fatigue.

Los Blancos are two points behind Barcelona at the top of the table but could potentially overtake their fierce rivals should the Catalans slip up against fourth-placed Valencia earlier in the day.

Ancelotti may decide to play midfielder Isco against his old club. "Isco is fresh and ready to go and I know I can use him at any given time," said the Real Madid manager. "Every match counts now because we are fighting for both competitions and the players are well aware of this."

Malaga are winless in their last four matches but they drew with champions Atletico Madrid 2-2 last weekend, while Real drew 0-0 with the same opponents in their Champions League quarter-final first-leg on Tuesday night.

For the visitors, defender Weligton Oliveira is suspended after picking up his 10th yellow card of the campaign.

Malaga have never won at the Santiago Bernabeu in the league, only claiming two draws across their 13 previous visits and they have never managed a clean sheet there either.

Carlo Ancelotti is currently enjoying his longest unbeaten run at the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga; 12 wins and one draw.
