Queens Park Rangers have had dominant form at home but their poor form away has cost them a mid-table place in the Premier League, according to midfielder Karl Henry.
Rangers are relying heavily on their home performances this season to remain above the relegation zone, as well as the prolific displays of striker Charlie Austin, but so far they have lost every away game.
By contrast, their only loss at Loftus Road was a 3-2 defeat to Liverpool in October.
Henry is focused on keeping QPR, who currently have 18 points from 19 games, in the top flight but he admits they need to start picking up points on the road.
“We’d like to be higher. We’d all agree we could have probably taken at least another three points on our travels,” the 32-year-old midfielder said.
“Had we nicked three draws on our travels we’d be mid-table right now and I think that would be about right. I think that is where we deserve to be.
“I think the games we have won at home, we’ve deserved to win every one of them and I think we’ve been unlucky not to get a few more as well: Hull early on in the season I think we played really well and should have taken at least a point from that, the Liverpool game we could have won, if not got a point and the Man City game we should have won that as well.
“I definitely think we could have been higher up the table but we’re out of the relegation zone and that is the objective - to stay in this league.”
