Bojan Krkic says he is 'enjoying' his time at Stoke City, with the Premier League a division he has 'always wanted to try'.

The 24-year-old was considered to be quite a coup for Mark Hughes when he arrived at the Britannia Stadium over the summer.

Stoke saw off interest from across Europe to land a creative forward who has previously graced the books of Roma, AC Milan, Ajax and Barcelona.

Bojan has, however, had to be patient as he has been eased into English football – making just his third top-flight start of the season in a 2-2 draw with West Ham United.

The Spain international is, though, starting to feel settled in new surroundings and is hoping to play a leading role in the reshaping of Stoke’s footballing philosophies.

Bojan told El Larguero: "Stoke are a team with a very direct game but the coach is slowly trying to change that mentality.

"I've always wanted to try in the Premiership and now I'm enjoying it."

Whatever happens during his time at Stoke, Bojan already considers his career to have been a success, with a Catalan native having progressed through the academy ranks at the Nou Camp to collect an enviable haul of major honours with Barcelona.

He added: “Being a home-grown player, I achieved what I set out to do by playing and scoring for Barca. I consider I was a success.

“I made my debut very early and a lot of things happened to me at a young age, but I was there for the best time in Barcelona’s history and played with the best players in the world.

“They weren’t perfect years but there were times when I contributed a big part to things and that was very important.”
