Slovenian poised for Hillsborough move
Sky Sports understands Sheffield Wednesday have agreed a deal to sign Slovenia international Nejc Pecnik after a successful trial at the club.
The attacking midfielder is set to sign a one-year deal with the Championship newcomers, with the option for a further year.
Pecnik, who will join from Portuguese side Nacional, spent time training with the Owls this week.
He will bolster manager Dave Jones' attacking options as Wednesday prepare for their return to the second tier.
The midfielder, capped 15 times for Slovenia, is set to become Jones' seventh recruit of the summer as the boss reshuffles his squad ahead of the new campaign.
The Owls have already brought in Chris Kirkland, Kieran Lee, Joe Mattock, Anthony Gardner and Chris Maguire, while they completed the capture of Portugal Under-21 international Diogo Amado earlier this week.
