Manager McInnes says midfielder's recovery is on schedule

Bristol City midfielder Marvin Elliott is set to return to pre-season training with the Robins after recovering from an Achilles injury. Elliott, who arrived at Ashton Gate from Millwall in 2007, snapped his Achilles tendon in a freak training ground incident back in February. Manager Derek McInnes has been pleased by his progress and is confident the 27-year-old will be ready to return to action with the Robins next term. "I've been in constant contact with the medical team, including Michael McBride (new head physio) who has now started with us," said McInnes. "Over the past three weeks Marvin has made real progress and we're delighted that he will be able to join in with pre-season as we targeted. "Clearly we'll have to go careful and not push anything too soon, but all the signs are that Marvin's recovery is on schedule."
