Tobias Weis has accused Hoffenheim general manager Ernst Tanner of failing to show him respect regarding a new deal.

Ogbuke linked with January move to Schalke

Tobias Weis has accused Hoffenheim general manager Ernst Tanner of failing to show him respect regarding a possible contract extension. The 26-year-old's current deal will expire at the end of the season and reports in German media are suggesting he will not be offered new terms. This has come as a surprise to former Germany international Weis, who claims last season he did Tanner a favour by delaying an operation in order to help Hoffenheim avoid relegation. He told spox.com: "It was only last season when Ernst Tanner begged me to keep waiting with necessary foot surgery until we had won 40 points. "Now I am getting to know via kicker-Sportmagazin that Ernst Tanner regards it as doubtful whether I am to receive a new deal. "This is without telling me this in person any time before. Of course, he has shown no respect to me!" Meanwhile, Nigeria international Chinedu Ogbuke is being linked with a January move to Hoffenheim's Bundesliga rivals, Schalke. Hoffenheim have played down the reports, but Ogbuke's agent, Thomas Solomon, told Rheinische Post: "Chinedu is on the shortlist of Schalke. I am able to confirm this."
