Brazilian defender welcomes Fluminese link

Bordeaux defender Henrique admits to being intrigued by reports linking him with a move to Fluminese. The 28-year-old has spent the last six years in France, having been snapped up from Flamengo in 2005. He is under contract at Bordeaux for another 18 months, with his current deal set to take him through to the summer of 2013. Henrique has had his head turned by transfer rumours, though, and could soon be heading back to his native Brazil. "Of course it is interesting to me," he told Sud-Ouest.

Services

"To me, Fluminese has the best squad in Brazil. "Rio (de Janeiro) is my city and would allow me to live close to my parents. "A good proposition could secure my services." Bordeaux are reluctant to part with Henrique, though, with chairman Jean-Louis Triad saying: "He won't be leaving in January."
