Midfielder stresses his current commitment to Hannover

Manuel Schmiedebach has spoken of the speculation surrounding his proposed move to Borussia Dortmund, having been linked with the Bundesliga champions this summer. The 22-year-old recently rejected a new deal from current club Hannover 96 but still has 12 months remaining on his contract. The midfielder told newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten: "I had not received a concrete offer from Borussia Dortmund, I did not receive an enquiry. Still those rumours have not been denied by any of those two clubs. The rest is pretty much imagination. "I am under contract with Hannover 96, my contract is to expire at the end of the season. This is all I can confirm." The former Hertha BSC Berlin player has featured heavily in the Hannover first-team for the past 18 months.
