Niculae and Mangani return to the top flight

Daniel Niculae and Thomas Mangani have left relegated Monaco and joined Ligue 1 outfit Nancy on loan. The pair slipped out of the top flight last season, but will once again grace the highest level of French football in 2011/12. Romania international Niculae joins on a season-long deal, while Mangani will also see out the campaign. Mangani's agreement includes the option for a permanent move to be made next summer.

Medical

"The two players will be at the match this evening (Tuesday) in the stands," said Nancy president Nicolas Holveck ahead of his team's League Cup tie against Auxerre. "Niculae must complete a medical which started today and Mangani will take his tomorrow (Wednesday)." Holveck has also revealed that Mickael Chretien and Youssouf Hadji are both on their way out of the club. Chretien is expected to sign for Turkish outfit Bursaspor, while Hadji is being chased by a number of clubs.
