Accrington manager John Coleman has confirmed veteran striker Ian Thomas-Moore is currently training with the club.

Coleman also hoping to sign Irish midfielder Amond on loan

Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman has confirmed veteran striker Ian Thomas-Moore is currently training with the club. Thomas-Moore is available on a free transfer after leaving Accrington's League Two rivals Rotherham United at the end of last season. Coleman was non-committal on whether he will be offering the 34-year-old a deal and is happy to take a look at the forward in training. "He's just come to do a bit of training with us," said Coleman. "He's without a club and we said we would have a look at him anyway because he is a good footballer. "As always, I will have to wait and see what the financial situation is before I can go any further, but for now he is just training with us." However, Coleman is hoping to sign Irish midfielder Padraig Amond on loan from Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira before Saturday's game against Southend United. He added: "I'm hoping I can complete a loan deal to bring in Padraig Amond if we can complete the international clearance. I may be able to get one more loan player in too."
